With the stunning setting of Peckforton Castle, Cheshire, On a cloudy Friday 13th April 2018 (un-lucky for some, very lucky for others!) Kayleigh & Calum went and did it! Now Husband and wife!
Myself & Kayleigh grew up together as childhood friends so being able to help her into that dress with her mum & photograph the wedding was a day I’ll never forget.

In all honesty I don’t know where to start with explaining this spectacular wedding so I’ll let the photos do the talking…
At 10pm the formalities continued with a Handfasting ceremony lead by Calum’s Farther.
This was a lovely personal addition to the day, gathered in the dark with the open flame lamps, against the amazing backdrop of Peckforton Castle.
For me, this was the first Handfasting ceremony I had been a part of. So if your wondering what a handfasting ceremony is (Like I was when they booked me!), it roots in ancient Celtic tradition, symbolizing the binding together of two people (and the origin of the phrase “tying the knot!”).
During the ceremony, Calum’s farther begain by explaining the ritual and what it means to the couple. This included the notion of the couple binding their lives together. He invited the couple to join hands, which symbolizes their free will to enter into the marriage. He went on to wrap the couples wrists together.
In true Scottish fashion it was sealed with a Sip of Whiskey!
It was such a privilege to be asked to be part of such a special day.
